Region-specific compliance pack β€” this guide covers local statutory rules. Octal HR is configurable for multiple regions and business requirements.

Welcome to Octal HR. This guide walks you through the self-serve signup wizard so you can create your workspace and start managing employees, configuring payroll, and running your HR operations quickly.

Before you begin

Have the following ready before you start:

  • A valid email address you can receive a one-time code at (the wizard emails you a verification code to confirm ownership)
  • Your company name and preferred workspace address (e.g. yourcompany.octalhr.com)
  • A strong password ready (minimum 10 characters)

Creating your account

The signup wizard walks you through a few short steps. It takes about 3 minutes to complete, and you can resume where you left off if you close the tab.

1
Enter your email. On the signup page, enter your work email and continue. Octal HR emails you a one-time verification code.
2
Verify the code. Enter the code from your inbox (check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive within a minute). You can request a new code if needed.
3
Company details. Enter your company name, choose your workspace address, country, timezone, and (optionally) industry.
4
Choose a plan. Select the plan that fits your team. You can change it later.
5
Create the admin user. Enter your name and set your password (minimum 10 characters). This account is the workspace admin. Click through to finish β€” your workspace is provisioned and you can log in.
Note: The account you create here is the workspace admin. You can add other admins and users later from Admin > Users.
Tip: Company details such as timezone, currency, date format, working days, weekend days, and fiscal year start are all configurable later under Settings.

Next steps

Your account is ready. Here's the recommended order to complete your setup:

  1. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) before inviting other admins
  2. Configure departments and designations to match your org chart
  3. Add your employees individually or via Excel (XLSX) bulk import
  4. Invite your HR team and assign them the correct roles
  5. Configure payroll components (allowances, deductions, EOBI)
